States and Capitals

We have now covered all 5 regions of the United States and students have been assessed on each of the regions. We will have a final test this Friday, March 31.  Students will be asked to identify all 50 states on an outline map and match the capital cities to each of the 50 states. Students will be given some time in class to review each day and should also be reviewing at home using their study guides. Please contact Mrs. Wilke if you have any questions.

WI Forward Exam

We will continue testing this week.  There has been a slight adjustment to the testing schedule. Fourth graders will take Social Studies Session 2 on Monday at 11:00.  Fourth and fifth graders will take Math Session 1 on Tuesday and Math Session 2 on Wednesday.  Fourth graders will take Science Session 1 on Thursday and Science Session 2 on Friday. Some students may have afternoon testing sessions if they were absent or did not finish a test. Most students will complete the tests by the end of this week.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of these tests.

Student of the Month

Dr. Seuss Collaboration

Students collaborated to write the best answer to questions about different Dr. Seuss books.  In groups of 3 or 4, students first worked independently to answer the question on a Post-It.  Then, each group collaborated and combined the ideas of each person in their group to come up with one "best" answer that was recorded on their sheet.
