Wilson's Annual Family Picnic

Even though the school year is wrapping up, Wilson's PTA is still in full swing!

Please watch your child's folder for flyers about upcoming Out & Abouts, our summer Marcus fundraiser, as well as the Annual Family Picnic - including a cake walk!

The picnic is a HUGE undertaking that takes dozens of volunteers. We need parents - or even older siblings - to help run carnival games, supervise bounce houses, work in the kitchen, run the prize tables...and MORE! Please consider signing up to help for an hour slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080b4cabad2ea4f85-family1

Every dollar brought in through PTA events and fundraisers goes directly back to Wilson to cover field trip transportation costs, purchase classroom items, and helped us celebrate the amazing Wilson staff during Teacher Appreciation Week!

Grit and Perseverance

Today we completed tangram puzzles to deepen our understanding of polygons and build our grit and perseverance. The ancient Chinese art of tangram puzzles is a popular mathematical problem solving activity. The tangram puzzle consists of 7 geometric pieces which are normally boxed in the shape of a square.  The pieces are used to create different patterns including animals, people, numbers, geometric shapes, and many more.

We know ways to play because it helps us learn!

Family Picnic

The Wilson PTA Family Picnic is quickly approaching. Mark your calendars for Friday, June 1. Please consider signing up for a volunteer position to help out at this fantastic event using the following link:
