Happy Poem In Your Pocket Day!
National Poem in Your Pocket Day is observed each April. This day was created to share the joy that poems bring by carrying one in your pocket and sharing it throughout the day with others.
As part of New York City's celebration of National Poetry Month, residents have participated in Poem in Your Pocket Day since 2002. Now the movement has gone national!
The students in room 302 have selected a poem or composed an original one and will be carrying it in their pockets all day today to share with others.
We have also put a supply of pocket poems outside of room 302 for other students to take, carry in their pocket, and share with others to enjoy the fun of Poem In Your Pocket Day!
