Gobstopper Science

Students were excited to begin science by exploring Gobstoppers.  We started by brainstorming ideas about what science is.  Then we rolled up our sleeves, broke out the Gobstoppers, and began thinking like scientists.  Students wondered what would happen to the Gobstoppers when they were placed in water.  After thinking about their background knowledge and making a hypothesis, students planned an experiment and got to work.  Students recorded data throughout the experiment to use for their conclusions.
