Heroes

Today we discussed heroes.  Students thought about characteristics or personality traits that they think make someone a hero.  We read the book Fireboat:  The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Harvey by Maira Kalman and discussed the heroes in the book.  We also discussed what it means to be an everyday hero and got a few tips from Kid President.  We wrapped up the lesson with students writing a journal entry about heroes.
